HTC SHIFT’S SnapVUE Screen Shot!

As you know the HTC Shift will have a dual-OS; Windows Vista and a limited version of Windows Mobile called SnapVUE. There is a button located on the bottom left of the display to toggle between the two OS.

HTC Polaris Coming to O2 as the XDA Orbit 2!

HTC Polaris is coming to O2 very soon as the XDA Orbit 2 with built in GPS. The HTC Polaris is the new version of the Orbit aka HTC P3300/Artemis and has doubled up all specs. The processor has been doubled to 400 MHz, the RAM has been doubled to 128 MB and the built in ROM has also been doubled to 256MB. There is no official release date as of yet but we will keep you posted!!

Fido Finally Launches 3G and Video Calling!

Fido has just announced that they are now offering Internet Data plans using 3G. Before this Fido had really expensive data plans ranging from 1MB for $12 and 200MB for $100 but this all changes now. Introducing their new 3G data plans which are not only cheaper but blazing fast too (if your phone supports it!!).

• 12 Mb $10/ month
• 12 MB value pack for $18/month which includes: Enhanced Voice Messaging, call display, name display, who called, 2500 text messages per month.

Fido has also launched Video, Radio and Mobile TV. If you already have a Windows phone you don’t even need to pay for these extra services and just use freeware programs directly from your pda. Regularly Mobile TV will cost you $15 a month and Video & Radio on demand will cost you another $15 a month.

Samsung Blackjack II with GPS Coming to AT&T

A new version of the Cingular Blackjack is coming to an AT&T store near you. The phone offers the same sleek design with an upgraded Windows Mobile 6 Standard OS. The phone also offers built in GPS; a feature we do not see that often in Smartphones. Although this device has been “upgraded” there is still NO WiFi!!

The HTC P6500 is going to have built in GPS, 1 GB extra internal storage drive on top of the 256 MB ROM and not one but two SD card slots!! 2- 8GB memory cards plus the 1GB built in = 15GB maximum capacity!!
