Samsung SPH 9200; Best UMPC design EVER?
The SPH P9200 makes other Samsung UMPC’s look like garbage…
The way the P9200 opens is hard to explain so maybe this will help…
The P7200 will have the following specs:
- Windows XP
- Via C7-M processor (BS, but maybe you need to look at the design again)
- 30 GB hard drive
- 1.3 megapixel camera
- WiFi
- HSDPA
- WiMAX
- Sim Card slot (hopefully with built in GSM line… but most likely only for data)
- 5 inch touch display with a resolution of 800x 480
Some more Pics:
The P9200 can also be used like this:
Conclusion:
The P9200 is no doubt an excellent UMPC. This being the first prototype explains the lack of good specs. However in the near future Samsung will definitly release another version with Windows Vista, better battery performance and a faster CPU. There is no word on Pricing or release data but we will keep you posted!!
Windows Mobile & Rogers Wireless; Motorola Q9h Coming Soon
Rogers is doing a good job releasing new Windows PDA devices like the Treo 750, HTC TyTN, HTC S621 and now the Moto Q9h. The Q9h is a GSM version of the original Mototola Q and offers more advanced features like Windows Mobile 6, 2 Megapixel camera, HSDPA but unfortunately there is no WiFi.
Some of Rogers new phones support HSDPA but not video calling…. The HTC TyTN’s video calling was disabled most likely to launch the Samsung A708 as the “First Rogers Video Calling Enabled Phone” but in my opinion the TyTN would have been a way better choice.
It is nice to see that all these new PDA devices are coming to Canada and just recently that data plans have dropped in price too!!
